Mysterious Cube is a multidisciplinary artist based in Dundee.

 

Their work is composed of a multitude of different elements, including painting, printmaking, sculpture, textile work, and found objects.

Their practice can be divided into two parts; the first focuses on a conceptual method of personifying ideas and emotions and depicting them as a representation of an entity. It’s heavily inspired by religion and cultural beliefs from around the world.

The second is a celebration of the unconventional and rebellious – monsters, unusual creatures, queer culture, and anti-capitalist sentiment.

 

Both parts of their practice are beginning to overlap with increasing regularity.
